What is Semolina Pasta?
Semolina pasta is a beloved dish explicitly made from Semolina flour. But what exactly is Semolina flour, you ask? It is a type of flour produced by milling "hard" wheat, such as Durum wheat. Being a "hard" wheat means milling it creates a coarse flour, which can then be used to make Semolina Pasta.
Semolina derives from the Italian word "Semolino", meaning bran. This refers to the pieces of grain husks that are separated during milling.
While many pasta flours are available, Semolina is widely regarded as one of the best options for creating delicious and satisfying pasta dishes. And if you want to ensure your Semolina pasta remains tasty and nutritious, include Semolina flour as a staple ingredient in your following recipe.
